really well maybe you guys just dont push your macs but the general concensus within the industry is Macs crash alot unless your running OS X

And im sorry i dont use punctuation was never any good at english but i dont see the point in flaming someone when your all here for the same reason unless you just come to discussion boards to rip into people and not be constructive but hey what ever floats your boat

We use macs at my high school and we use pcs too. Heres the thing both have there flaws (only on a mac can you drag you hard drive to the trash). I use a mac and a pc at home and both have pros and cons.I say use what you feel comftortable with. FCp is great but, I'm more of an Premiere pro person.

Screw both, I use SGI Irix. No viruses and no crashes. Hell, not even a save button because it saves instantly. Realtime D1 capture and only uncompressed (great for adding special effects).
More effects and options than you can shake a shitty stick at. Comes at a price, though...

Of course you'd be running on OSX, it has been the standard mac operating system for several years. It doesn't make any sense for the industry to have a general concensus about macs if it is such an out of date idea. Macs do crash, but not as often as PCs. I use them because I own an event videography company, and you can't guarantee delivery on time with a PC. But I can, 95% of the time, with a mac.

actually not everyone in the industry does run OS X yet its a very costoly transition and therefore most people are still on 9 but hey what would i know i only work in the industry
